The Survey is supporting the Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (CARICOM IMPACS) with a study on firearms and ammunition trafficking, the results of which will be presented in a report in 2022. The evidence-based assessment will examine illicit arms trafficking to and within the Caribbean, the socio-economic costs of firearms-related violence, and emerging firearm-related threats in the region. The research will inform evidence-based policymaking and interventions to reduce firearm-related crimes in the region. This project supports the Roadmap for Implementing the Caribbean Priority Actions on the Illicit Proliferation of Firearms and Ammunition across the Caribbean in a Sustainable Manner by 2030.
